Get involved.  Support BAF

There are loads of ways to support BAF, whether your budget is big or small.  Matt and Lissa are committed to building a great festival over the coming years and we'd love to talk to you about coming on board as a sponsor, supporter or media partner.

We're inventive, creative and will work hard with you to help promote your company, brand or publication in return for your support.

The first ever Buxton Adventure Festival was a great success. Numbers were good, feedback from visitors, sponsors and partners was excellent and encouraging. The model of mixing speakers and films proved very successful. The venue was superb, right in the heart of Buxton, with a large footfall of people in the Pavilion Gardens. The launch of the University Of Derby?s Oakland Outdoor Centre on the Friday night before the festival was a great way to kick off proceedings.

PR coverage of the event and its sponsors was excellent (see appendix). It was even mentioned in Parliament! National magazine editors from Adventure Travel Magazine, Coven magazine, Trail Running Magazine and MyOutdoors attended in person.

ShAFF has a dedicated PR specialist who is very effective in cross promoting all sponsors via our growing social media following.
In 2012 we delivered over 50 press items.

We're proud that feedback from last year's 849 visitors* showed:

  • 100% said they liked the format of mixing speakers and films.
  • 100% said they would come again.
  • 100% said they would recommend it.
  • 93 were female (42%) and 130 were male (58%)
  • 12 were under 18 (5%), 19 were aged 19-25 (9%), 43 were aged 26 to 35 (19%) and 149 were aged 36 and over (67%).
  • 49 travelled less than 3 miles to get there (22%), 50 travelled 3-10 miles (22%), 76 travelled 10-30 miles (34%), and 48 travelled more than 30 miles (22%).
  • 17 people (8%) had not visited Buxton before.

From 223 feedback forms collected (by University Of Derby students)
