FAMILY ACTIVITIES & WALKING FESTIVAL
Family Outdoor Activities We're very excited to have teamed up with the Derbyshire Village Games, High Peak Borough Council and the University of Derby, to put on some exciting FREE outdoor activities for kids and families duruing both days of the festival. The activities will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Come along to the Pavilion Gardens foyer to register yourself or your family (children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult) for three half hour sessions. The sessions are open to and achievable by all. Activity 1: fun, challenging problem solving tasks using a series of challenges developed by the University of Derby Buxton to encourage team work and communication. Activity 2: Orienteering, come and enjoy the orienteering course in the park, this is fun for all the family. Activity 3: More challenging tasks developed by the University of Derbys out door team, slightly more thought provoking then you would expect, Registration will be open and activities will take place between 12.30 and 5.00pm each day at the Bandstand in the Pavilion Gardens. |
Visit Peak District & Derbyshire Walking Festival For the first time ever VPDD are pleased to announce a 2 day Peak District Walking Festival taking place on 20th and 21st October 2012 in collaboration with the Buxton Adventure Festival.
