One of the UK?s leading endurance athletes, Heather has competed and won at Elite level in many mountain marathons like the LAMM and the OMM and has run the Bob Graham Round in under 22 hours. In 2008 she won the renowned Three Peaks Cyclo-cross.

Her book 'Adventures in Mind' has had an extremely positive reception, being one of the very few books in this genre written by a woman, and has so far had great reviews from Trail Runner, Adventure Travel, The Great Outdoors magazines and on The Outdoor Times.  (Order signed copies for £12.99)

Heather is back racing this spring after a break to have her first child and it hasn't taken her long to get her fitness back! So far this year she has won the Highland Mountain Marathon, come second in the Old Country Tops and Welsh 1000m Peaks races, and third in the extremely grueling Celtman Triathalon. Heather has written about her preparation for the Celtman in this guest blog for her publishers Vertebrate.

Next up is a tight schedule of fell races and triathlons before Heather competes in the elite class in both the Rab Mountain Marathon and the Original Mountain Marathon (she won the latter in 2007 and again in 2010).

One of the world's toughest running events, the original Dragon?s Back Race happened just once in September 1992 and ever since, it has been whispered about with a mix of awe and trepidation. Tracing the mountainous spine of Wales from Conwy Castle to Carreg Cennen Castle this incredible 5-day journey is approximately 320 kilometres long with 17,000 metres ascent. 

Follow the exploits of those who dared take on the even tougher 2012 course including all the 3,000 ft Welsh mountains on day one.

The film won 2013 Sheffield Adventure Film Festival Best Running Film Award and was awarded Silver in Best Feature Film and Bronze in Best Film categories.
