Annie Last - 8pm Saturday 2nd November

 Talk Annie Last
Team GB Olympic Mountain Biker
Followed by 'Not Bad' & 'Arrival'

23 year old Bakewell born Annie made her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Olympics, becoming the first woman to represent GB in the mountain bike event since Sydney 2000.

Annie will be talking to adventure sports journalist Nik Cook from British Cycling's 'Insight Zone' and reviewing exclusive British Cycling footage of Annie in action at last year's UCI MTB Cross Country World Cup.

In 2009
Annie deferred her place to study medicine at university to join British Cycling?s Olympic Academy Programme in 2009 and hasn't looked back since.

Britain's top female cross country mountain biker in a decade recorded her best result at the final round of the 2012 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup, finishing third and backing up a two-season period of top ten finishes and two under-23 world championship silver medals.

Annie first showed her potential as a first year under-23 rider, beating 2008 Olympic Champion Sabine Spitz in stage one of the Tour de l?Ain and a couple of months later, at the 2009 world championships, produced a mature and sensational ride to claim fifth under-23 in her rookie year.

Annie also represented GB in the 2010 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships, where she started from the back of the grid to finish 11th.

She qualified for London 2012 thanks to a gruelling couple of seasons qualifying for Olympic points.

Annie had a great start on the technical Hadleigh Farm course, leading the pack for the first lap and pleasing the 20,000 plus partisan crowd. She finished in 8th place overall which was a great result for the developing rider.

Earlier this year, Annie was signed up by Trek Bicycle's new Trek Factory Racing team - an elite cross-country mountain bike racing squad representing four countries across three continents.
