Nick Bullock is one of the most outspoken climbers of his generation. The former prison guard quit his job to explore the world’s mountains and cliffs, making international headlines at the end of 2015 after he and climbing partner Greg Boswell narrowly fought off a grizzly bear attack in the Canadian Rockies. In his UK premiering talk, titled It Takes a Big Dog, Nick will recount the incident as well as other daring mountaineering feats from around the world. He will pair his usual dry wit and humour with stunning photography, exciting film clips and a showing of a UKClimbing production of Nick and Jeff Mercier climbing the Rive Gauche above the Argentiere Glacier, Chamonix.

Nick has written a book: Echoes

FILM - all roads lead to scotland

Opposites attract. There isn’t a more appropriate statement to describe the unlikely yet formidable climbing partnership that is Nick Bullock and Tim Neill. They met on the mountains of Scotland in winter, and despite walking their own paths in the mountaineering world they are both drawn inexorably back there each winter.

The fickle conditions that define Scottish winter frequently lead to frustration, but the prospect of discovering an obscure gem presents an irresistible allure to them both.
