21 year old professional climber Shauna Coxsey is the most successful competition climber in British history. With amazing performances indoors as well as outdoors, she closed an intense 2014 IFSC competition season with a hugely-impressive World Number Two ranking and this summer also became one of only three women in the world to climb an 8b+ boulder problem.
Shauna who has been climbing since she was four years old and started competing at the age of seven was inspired to take up climbing by watching the French climber Catherine Destiville.
Asked whether she prefers climbing inside or out, Shauna says, "I see them as different sports really. Going rock climbing is like a treat, as competitions are my main focus currently. I could never choose between the two and I have ambitions in both."
