Congratulations to the winners of last night's inaugural Jagged Globe ShAFF shorts competition, hosted by climber & author Andy Kirkpatrick:

Event organiser, Matt Heason (from Grindleford) says: “We wanted to encourage budding film-makers to have a go and to inspire a new generation of adventurers. You don’t have to be a professional film-maker or sponsored athlete to make an adventure film. This year we’re showing ‘Zed to Max’ - a home-video tribute by an 8 year old to pro-unicycler Max Schultze. With the Peak District on our doorstep you don’t need to go to the Himalayas. In fact with urban street sports like skateboarding you can make a video on a shoestring budget in your own backyard. We were really impressed with the quality of entries."

Through the ShAFF video shorts competition, Jagged Globe is supporting amateur film making of outdoor sports, such as climbing, skiing, trekking and biking. We're based in Sheffield, at the heart of adventure sports in England, but we have a global coverage and have been organising climbing, trekking and skiing trips on all seven continents for the past two decades. It's exciting to think how easily our experiences in wild places can now be shared with others, wherever they might be based.”
