Run Britain's Jackie Newton writes:  "Sheffield has been buzzing with running activity recently and it seems there is more to come! It is the home of Accelerate, a 2000 square foot running specialist store, with a wide range of product for all runners on all surfaces whether it's road, fell or trail. They also have a heavy interest in Adventure Racing. At Accelerate they love their running and it certainly shows. Recently they were hosts for a Running Expert Night where the barefoot running debate was thrashed late into a Friday evening.

This weekend Sheffield will once again entertain runners from far and wide at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. On Sunday, starting at 4pm a special screening of running films will begin. This will be followed by a lecture courtesy of Peak District fell-runner, Stephen Pyke at 6.30pm.Ultra-runner Stephen Pyke (aka Spyke) lives in Hathersage in the Peak District and works at Sheffield University."  Read more on Run Britain including Jackie's preview of the running screening.
