Festival Director Matt Heason said: "We've been bowled over by the calibre of nominations. We've had a total of 17 amazing entries from young adventurers from the ages of 9 to 17 from mountain bikers to climbers, sailors, fell runners and all-rounders. I don't envy the judges' task. It's humbling and inspiring to have been part of the process. We're incredibly grateful to the University of Derby, Buxton for sponsoring, hosting and providing the prizes and to the Rural Derbyshire School Sport Partnership for their support."
Festival PR Lissa Cook said: "Ticket sales are strong and the weather forecast is looking a bit gloomy - perfect for an indoor adventure! We're really excited about the calibre of this year's speakers and personally speaking I'm delighted there are four talks by amazing female athletes. We're grateful for all the enthusiasm and goodwill from sponsors and partners. We'd like to thank in particular both the University of Derby, Buton and Rab for showing faith in a young and growing event and continuing their sponsorship. Special thanks also to our official media partner, The Buxton Advertiser, our accommodation partner, The Old Hall Hotel, and to High Peak Borough Council for their support. We'd both like to express our appreciation to Reflow Studio in Hathersage for having done sterling work on designing our website and promotional material around Lukasz Warzecha's stunning imagery."
