High Adventure Event - Sheffield Telegraph

19th Jan 2012

THE 2012 Sheffield Adventure Film Festival programme has been launched with a video trailer edited by award-winning filmmaker Alastair Lee and a soundtrack by up-and-coming Sheffield band Hey Sholay. And within days it amassed 55,000 hits on YouTube.

The festival, running over the weekend of March 9-11 at the Showroom cinema, will feature 75 adventure, travel and extreme sports films from around the world, grouped into themed screenings including the ever-popular Adrenaline showing along with strands on bike, run, mountain, climb, and ski/board interests. Tickets will be on sale from the Showroom later this week.

Festival Director Matt Heason reports: “Late on Tuesday evening last week we posted the 2012 ShAFF trailer to Youtube. It’s a cracking film, edited by award winning filmmaker Al Lee of Posing Productions who at the time was juggling editing and packing for an imminent trip to Venezuela for another film project.

“When I woke on Wednesday morning it had received a few hundred hits overnight.
