MAIN SPEAKER - LIZZY HAWKER

Lizzy is an endurance athlete with a love of wild places and a passion for long, solo journeys across tough terrain. She is the five-time winner of the Ultra Tour Du Mont Blanc and world record holder for 24 hours on the road. She has also been the 100km World Champion and set a new world record running from Everest Base Camp to Kathmandu (Nepal). In her talk, titled Journey, Lizzy will steer away from the world of competition and focus on her 1000-mile epic across the Nepal Himalaya. The challenge might not be something many of us will undertake but the lessons she learned can help us all in our everyday lives.

SUPPORT SPEAKER - OLLY STEPHENSON

Olly is passionate about the outdoors and has been inspiring others through his talks for a number of years. A self-confessed ‘ordinary bloke’, he’s climbed on six continents, ridden a tandem across the USA for his honeymoon and completed a number of longer runs in the UK, Europe and USA whilst raising a family and maintaining a full-time job. Olly will be telling tales from the 2016 edition of La Petite Trotte a Leon, one of the longest, toughest and most beautiful trail races in Europe, at 300km in length and 25,000m ascent. Find out what it’s like to be chased by three Finns that never sleep, what happens when you eventually stop and some musings on life and motivation in general. Inspiration and psych guaranteed.
